OVERVIEW

The Achilles Multivan is a highway terrain summer tire manufactured for commercial vehicles.

The tire promotes excellent summer weather traction. The larger and broader tread design with the special siping detail improves the dry and wet weather traction. While the model has superb summer weather traction, it is not recommended to be used in winter weather. In such cold temperatures the tire compound loses its flexibility, causing its road grip to weaken. The four wide circumferential grooves actively disperse water from beneath the tire s footprint in wet conditions, effectively resisting hydroplaning situations.

The model is easily controlled in summer weather. The specialized four groove tread design improves the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The faster and more accurate steering responsiveness to the driver s instructions and the tire structure that s stabilized against the driving pressure affecting it, increase the model s controllability in dry and wet conditions. The larger shoulder tread blocks enhance the model s road contact during cornering. They provide additional biting edges in such conditions, which boosts the cornering and maneuvering ability and promotes a safer driving experience.

The special broader tire footprint extends the tread life and the tire s usability significantly. The broader tread area increases and ensures the tire s contact with the road at all times. This allows the tread to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking prevents irregular tread wear from forming on the tire s surface, which extends the tire s use.

The Multivan offers a quiet and enjoyable driving experience. The tread pattern manages to lower the road noise generated while the tires are in motion. This is achieved with the special, evenly distributed siping design that manages to decrease the tread noise. The sipes prevent the road noise from generating by channeling the airwaves through the tire s footprint, without letting them come into contact with the tread elements. The result is a comfortable drive.
